Thinkr Community Spam Update

During the overnight hours our technical staff worked their magic maintaining and repairing Thinkr. The spam issue should be greatly improved as we move into a brand new week.

While we don’t have a “formal” staff rest assured volunteers have stepped up to fill the gap. Spam and hate posts will be handled in a timely manner. Keeping the site clear of clutter — allowing for an enjoyable member experience — remains a top priority. Please ask if you have questions.

Peace & Love To All

    CD –
It is disheartening to see the need for such a stern threat so early in the life of a blog site. Spam is certainly an abuse of the site rules, wherever & whatever they are but for the flow of free speech- Intolerance is the enemy of correct understanding.

@vincent Free speech and hate speech are entirely different things. My warning pertains to hate speech NOT free speech. The American Bar Association defines hate speech as speech that offends, threatens, or insults groups, based on race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or other traits.

This isn’t really a soap-box issue with me.
I got a chuckle out of your response. When I pull a response like yours on my old time attorney he will always respond with “we aren’t in court”.
Americans always think that everything is a ‘right’.
The idea of hate speech as used in recent years is a construct of the socialist Left to control certain speech & people. Right out of the USSR playbook. How many PC words do we dare not use? Do you dare say Jesus in public today?

You are right, free speech and hate speech are entirely different things. Free speech and censored speech are entirely different things.
There isn’t anything wrong with a blog owner banning anything they want.
