We are breathing the thick summer air

A gentle breeze making the trees dance above us

Telling us its ok to sway, its ok to bend

The sky is painted yellow, orange, and red

It sings to us in bliss

We are here, we are endless, we are impermanent

The late summer frogs hum along to the grasshopper tune

Grass waving in appreciation

We have been here forever

This is it, something so human, in our minds

It will be something to compare every other day to

From skipping stones and catching craw-dads

To holding you and our child

It will replace every sunset before it

Here it is, burning itself through time

It is here forever, and we are happy

And we are everlasting, and we are in love.
