So, I was texting with my daughter this morning. In addition to all the 2020 shit storm, my dad is going downhill quickly. Not Covid-related, but still. Anyway. She was checking in with me this morning and asked if I wanted to talk. BTW my daughter totally prefers to text, not talk, so feeling special about that. And I told her I needed to do yoga. So, while I’m doing yoga, she texts me some poems she thinks will help. They do. But it got me thinking how poetry is like yoga. It can twist your brain, and distill words (like yoga distills movement). There’s more, but staff meeting is starting, so I’m gonna go.
Poetry is yoga for your brain
