    • Last year it was Neil Peart (RUSH) – this year Charlie Watts.

He was one Stone I imagined would roll on forever.

      • I was just thinking about all these old bands that seem to have the gift of longevity. Truly….”Roll on forever” is what I was thinking too.

  • Yes many people are vaccinated but with the new variants being spread I still don’t feel safe doing things I love. Like a LIVE concert. Sitting in a restaurant with friends. Though I have been to their houses […]

    • These types of post are still relevant – Covid has gone nowhere and is still here.
The one thing I still miss the most is being able to go anywhere without fear of infection – even if it’s a jaunt to my local town centre of Epsom. Last year during the height of the pandemic I sold my car because it had been sitting there going nowhere, so rather than keep paying for something I was not able to use I let it go. I actually ventured out to the hospital for a blood test last week – first time out since last year, but in all honesty things may look normal out there but deep down I still feel there is danger for the vulnerable. There is talk over here of offering certain people a 3rd jab! People are still getting infected, and people are still dying. . .an end is not yet in sight.

      • Here too…third jab. But they did approve the 3rd one for the vulnerable. Apparently people have already been getting it by being sneaky or creative…depending on how you look at it. I have the 2 Pfizer doses….but I was pondering looking for a location that is giving the Johnson and Johnson which is 1 jab. So that could be my 3rd. I shall ponder it longer….since I have the time to ponder.
YOU SOLD YOUR CAR? That is what keeps me sane. Being able to go for drives…..going to the beach after everyone leaves….its nice being to just hop in and drive. Well….when my head isn’t spinning that is

  • Absolutely enjoy this show. I know I caught the band wagon for this show a few years late ☺️. I think I enjoy this show so much because its about the behind the scenes world of these talented artist. Getting an […]

    • This is one of those shows that I’ve heard about but never seen – presumably because it isn’t available here on the other side of the pond. I’ll check to see if it’s on Amazon Prime.

And while we’re on the subject. . .watched a film last night (on Amazon) called “I think we’re alone now.” It stars Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning. The plot is simple and rather relevant in this time period: Del (Dinklage) spends his day walking deserted streets checking houses for dead bodies after a global pandemic wiped out 99.9 % of the Human race. One night he is woken by a firework display some distance from the library where he lives. The next morning he ventures out and finds a car with a young girl who has passed out (Fanning). Grace has a terrible tale to tell but never finds the words to do so. As their relationship develops an unexpected situation props up and comes with answers that Grace has never let out.

This is a very good Indi-film and well worth a look.

      My film of the week!

ps: when I logged on this morning it was wonderful to have no spam to deal with šŸ™‚

      • I think Mozart in the Jungle would be more appealing to the Artsy type. Art in all its forms is relatable. ” I think were alone now”….I will add that to my list.
I didnt miss zapping those spammers. But there wasn’t too much so I can’t really complain

You are so right about how our caring and worries as mothers never end. But we do look forward to the day when we can sit back and see that our children are on a good path and we can put some of those worries aside. Well….we THINK those days will come.
I am sorry you are going through something with one of your children.

My advice would be…..and knowing someone like you most likely doesn’t need it…..but I would tell anyone…double up on the love. Give that child more of your love in this moment because they need it more. Assure them you will always be there anytime they need you. Sometimes they need to go through things on their own. Respect their process and again….let them know they are loved and needed. Throw in those extra long hugs too.
I know I wanted to wrap my arms around my sons and protect them forever from all hurts that are out there in this world.

If you need an ear…..I am here.

      Sending prayers 🙏🏼

      • Monica thank you. All great advice. Perhaps I love my kids to much and will always want to try and protect them even though I know I can’t.

        • You can never love your children too much. I start my days with prayers …which 99% are all for my sons. AND….through out the day I send positive energy to them. Of course they don’t know this…..but I will do this most likely forever 💜
Our children hurt….we hurt. And depending on their age….and if there is or was anything I was able to do for them…I did it and will do. There is no set end date for that.
          Stay strong.

    • What’s the story in your mind when you are experiencing the constant ache?

      • Right now I’m just taking it one day at a time, one breath at a time if need be. Its tough worrying about your children.

    • I have spent a lot of the past few decades worrying about my children … 3 of the 5 are doing well; 1 is trying and making progress … 1 is really struggling. I am trying to learn to chill out and just be supportive and listen and not take on all of the stresses that their lives could generate in me. So, I understand at least some of what you are going through.

P.S. CrashingAngel is a pretty cool name.

  • My spooky little sister has been bugging me to watch these stories. If you remember….she is the Queen of Spooky Town and if she is saying these are scary I 1000% believe her. She texted the other night after […]

    • Ok….so I was wrong. You can not watch it on Youtube…(I think) My sister told me she watched them on Amazon Prime and rented them. I don’t know when I will get to watching the series….but I will. I just finished “Expedition Bigfoot” on Discovery +. And unless anyone else here is somewhat a believer I am not going to share my findings 🧐

    • Boy oh boy was I WRONG! This is the wrong movie. The correct movie is called “Backwell Ghost” and there are 5 episodes. We watched the first one and I was sooooo disappointed. VERY VERY disappointed. Granted I always make efforts to debunk everything so I debunked scenes as I watched the movie. MAYBE if I went in not thinking about that I might have been scared. 👎
My little sister asked us to just watch one more before we give up on this….so we said we will watch it tomorrow.

    • Are you sure you’re sure this time?

    • There are lots of these type movies and series around. It is funny how I react with fear one time, and the next time something just as scary seeming on the surface doesn’t even made me gasp once. I don’t usually chose to watch things that are supposed be scary thought, most of the time.

  • So …I ended getting the first Vaccine a few weeks ago. I didn’t think my sons Tribe would include me in their Vaccination list but they asked my sons if I wanted it or anyone else in our household. I felt […]
