    Thank you. You nailed it!

  • I was around when the dinosaurs walked the earth. With Fred Flintstone and Barnie Rubble. Yeah I am one of the old crew.

  • If you are a supporter of trump, please do not read this. I am sure you will object to what I write and want to comment even go so far as to argue. I will delete all comments from trump supporters simply because […]

I agree with you, there is no point in what passes as discussion with the right…you know that they will destroy everything beautiful about this nation if allowed to.

    Well good for you.

Forgive me, I don’t know the American education system that well, but 3 years in high school? That doesn’t seem very long for higher education. Did you leave early?

    My factory is dying.

It probably started dying when the new owner took over. He had no experience running a company. No people skills, we the workers learned. A huge ego like trump. He put off paying materials […]

Thank goodness I don’t have to endure the inter-politics of work, bosses, and colleagues anymore. Last year I retired early for health reasons, but apart from all that, I realised that when I retired I could have done it much sooner than I did. We had a really good pension scheme where I used to work – the best in the UK in fact, yes really! The scheme involved matching exactly what you paid in each month up to a fixed ceiling. The math was simple, pay in Β£40 a month and it turned into Β£80. The pension scheme itself was called BRASS and it existed alongside the normal company pension scheme but was optional. Needless to say that all employees signed up with BRASS when it first began in the 90’s due to the fact that no other pension scheme could match it or come near to the benefits it offered. So when I got paid off last year I had 2 pension schemes keeping me financially afloat and, I will also be due for a state pension in a couple of years time; pension X3. Obviously, my pension would have been worth more if I carried on working but, sitting here right now typing this comment, I am quite content and financially solvent.

    • Well good for you.

    • I am retired, did so in 2014, so at least i no longer have incompetent owners and bosses to cope with, but as you point, your situation at work is the same situation, written smaller, of what is currently going on in that nation as an whole, so we all have to deal with the horror of a future that is at threat.

      Hang in there.

  • Recently I have been watching in a horror fascination as my legs and feet seem to slowly be dying. There is some treatment for it but no cure. “Veinous Insufficiency” it is called. It starts with varicose veins […]

    • My mother is 78 and just had vein surgery. They did one leg at a time….they pulled some veins out and glued others shut. After they put the glue in she said the Dr’s and nurses all laid across her leg to seal it and keep it sealed. My mother grew up a cowgirl…rode horses all her young life until she married. She became a nurse…had 7 kids and was active all of her life. Always was fit….but she got varicose veins maybe in her 30’s? She said her mother had them so they were hereditary.
I remember my mom just staring at her arms maybe 20 years ago and saying…..she can see her skin aging. It feels different,….looks different she would say. And she would always ask my dad….do you feel old? And he would say….no. And they both would laugh because they don’t think they are getting older. But they know its happening ….like they both refused to wear hearing aids until my sister had to set them both straight about it because they would argue because they had no idea what one said and just assumed one was yelling.. Now they both are always losing one hearing aide and everyone is looking for it every time I call. My dad had cataract surgery and doesn’t need to wear glasses so my mother says he shows off by buying all these fancy cool sunglasses. My father has always been a vain man. And my mother too for that matter.

Ok…where was I going with this.
I think….we all should make efforts to let the younger generations know to appreciate their bodies. Take care of themselves. Don’t sit on these damn computers all day….get out….enjoy nature and climb those mountains while you can.

    • I was never one to journal or blog. Well….blog in a sense of people using a blog as a journal. I remember having friends when I was younger who would keep diaries. I never understood it. But I was always an artist. I kept old sketch books…paintings. And looking back I could see my progress as a 12 year old artist to my artwork in high school and my artwork in college. So in some strange way I get it? They would look back and see their own growth as a person? But I didn’t need a journal to document my growth as a person. There are events in someones life that changes their views on things. You know…..like having an epiphany? I didn’t have many….but I had them and I know when and where and how I had them. Those few epiphanies made me who I am today. And keeping years of Journals or blogs wouldn’t have served the type of person I am. But they help other people…..for their own reasons.
I have a horrible memory….but I will never forgot the moments I had my life epiphanies.

I recently quoted Deepak Chopra to another blogger about reliving the past.

β€œThe unknown is the field of all possibilities, ever fresh, ever new, always opens to the creation of new manifestations. Without any uncertainty and the unknown, life is just the stale repetition of outworn memories. You become the victim of the past, and your tormentor today is yourself left over from yesterday.”

it makes sense to me to add this quote here because to me it aligns with what you are saying.”We are impermanence” ….which is why we should focus on today…tomorrow…and just live our best life and be kind to everyone.

Young Scott must have been WILD.
