I was just about to spam this post until I realised it was written by you. 🙂 Because I meddle in image manipulation I am truly amazed by what AI does with simple pictures to turn them into individual works of art in their own right. At the same time though, it takes away some of the creativity and talent of a image compositor. But I do like the results they produce.

To draw an analogy with AI… I am like a kindergartner just learning to read while (it seems) everyone else is getting right into all this AI stuff. Even my youngest son has been trying it out and askign it questions. Help! I am out of my depth and drowning!! (God, I feel old).

Thanks Ben. I do have some concerns about AI and the way it’s rushing in faster than a forest fire, and especially if it’s unchecked, you know? Like just how far is it going to take over things? I do appreciuate your advice and I might try the chat thing and check out your other links. I’ve always thought of you as being a guy with his finger on the pulse of things and insight into trending things so I have no doubt you are light years ahead of me with this stuff. Thanks. It’s appreciated. One love forever.

Care to share? What has been taken from you?

After so many years asking myself that same question, “Why am I here?”, I have come to the conclusion that I am only here to observe, to learn and to use that learning to help me move on further, progress more, spiritually, for the next time. Other times, I just feel that I’m here because someone ‘upstairs’ hold s a grudge… who knows for sure?

For me, I still haven’t found my true purpose yet. Right now, I just keep going even though I feel like I can’t because I still want to see what’s next.

Your thoughts resonate with some of us Ben, although we don’t always see how or why, as the author. I’ve been there myself, more times than I care to remember. I get the absurd idea that it’s okay to make my mad ramblings public and then someone sees something in them that I would never have been aware of in a million years, until they tell me what they see. Keep doing what you do, writing what you write, because it does make sense to some of us.

‘Shouting into the night’? Been there, done that, for real, in nature. Very fulfilling too!

I love the reference to the seafaring people and the ocean. My first love, my go-to place, my sanctuary is the ocean. Coming from an Island Nation, the Sea has always been a BIG part of my life, personally and through my ancestral heritage too so this resonates with me. Nice one Ben. You have done it again. As usual, your work never disappoints.
