We have been invited to join family in the Outer Banks next year for a week. The place looks lovely and I have never been there so it would mean seeing a little more of America. Only one problem. We have two little dogs and I already feel guilty just thinking about putting them into a kennel for six days. Previously, if we took a week away with our kids, we had a family member who dog sat for us. This thime though, she has been invited to go as well. Our dogs have never been kenneled and I’m not sure who they would cope being parted from us and left with strangers for six or seven days. Yes, I am one of those people who view our dogs as part of the family rather than mere pets. What to do, what to do? I have time to mull it over but who knows what the outcome will be? Thoughts anyone?

    • The dogs will think of it as a vacation. Go and enjoy the opportunity.💋

      • I hope they do. I am kinda ‘obliged’ to go but I will have that emo connection to my furbabys while I’m gone and I will have to make it up to them when I return. It is a bind, sometimes, being so sensitive to things.
