– Evidence is the foundation for correct interpretation.

– The Holy Spirit’s role in Old Testament interpretation.

– God’s purpose for creation.

– The role of the Torah in Old Testament interpretation.

– The Psalms and prayer.

– The role of prophecy in the Old Testament.

– 5 tendencies to avoid in Old Testament interpretation.

– Getting the big picture of the Old Testament.

After reading the book, here’s what I like:

– While categorized as an academic title, the book is interesting and relatively easy to read and understand.

– Covers a very important topic that seems to be overlooked in a lot of churches.

– Very good FAQs.

– Helpful appendix and scripture index.

– Appropriate for personal study and preparing messages & lessons on the Old Testament.
