“The Trinity In The Book Of Revelation” is a great read on how the Christian doctrine of the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) work together in the Book Of Revelation”. Around 200 pages, the book addresses many relevant topics on the subject, including:
– Importance of reading the Book of Revelation with the understanding that the Trinity cooperates with the work and events in the book.
– Various ways the Father works in Revelation.
– How the relationship between the Father and Son are shown in Revelation.
– Importance of realizing that God is in control of the events in Revelation and how that affected the worship early Christians practiced and why present-day Christians must do the same.
– The many ways Jesus’ divinity is portrayed in Revelation.
– Many examples of God’s wrath is described in Revelation (yes, God is holy, just, and shows anger towards unrepentant sin).
– Careful interpretation of particular passages in Revelation.
– How Revelation supports the theology of the Holy Trinity.
While the book is an academic read, the title is reasonably easy to read and understand, but will require a patient reader. Very good reference for sermon or Bible study preparation or personal study. Recommended. I was given a review copy by IVP in exchange for a fair review and appreciate the opportunity.
