“Learning Humility” by Richard Foster is a good read on an much overlooked virtue in today’s world, especially in America. The author uses his life experiences, experiences of people he has known and people from history, and from the Lakota Indian tribe. An interesting read, there are many things to like about this title:

    – Easy to read and understand.

    – Full of good insights from personal experience, experiences of other people, people from history, and knowledge gained from the Lakota Indian tribe.

    – Each chapter is only a few pages and may be completed in a few minutes.

    – You can either read the book quickly or slowly and reflectively to be able to get the main thoughts and points from each chapter.

    – Good notes and bibliography for further reading.

Some chapters could be a little choppy, but not enough to detract from the book’s value. Enjoyed reading this book on a much overlooked virtue in today’s world, especially in America. Recommended. I was given a review copy by IVP in exchange for a fair review and appreciate the opportunity.
