“Colossians And Philemon”by Adam Copenhaver and Jeffrey Arthurs is another great addition to the Kerux Commentaries series and have enjoyed looking through this title. Just over 300 pages, there are many things to like about this title:

    – Appropriate for lesson/sermon preparation or personal study.

    – Not a heavy book (easy to carry around).

    – Good overviews of suggested preaching passages (gives good insights and good prep for anyone preaching or teaching from a particular passage). There are 15 overviews and gives the preacher/teacher about four months’ worth of material for sermon/lesson prep.

    – The title is not overly technical and is appropriate for clergy or laity.

    – Good practical insights, background material, and exegesis for each passage.

    – Good list of references for further reading.

    – Excellent flow and organization – easy to follow and understand.

Look forward to using this title in the future when either speaking on or learning more about the biblical books of Colossians and Philemon. Highly recommended and will be a very helpful future reference. I was given a copy by Kregel Ministry in exchange for a fair review and appreciate the opportunity.
