“A History Of Evangelism In North America” is a great compilation of scholars on the various ways evangelism has been practiced in US history. Just under 350 pages, the book covers many figures as: Jonathan Edwards, George Whitfield, Billy Graham, D. James Kennedy, Bill Bright, and many others. After reading this title, here’s what I liked:

    – Interesting summary of many different ways evangelism has been practiced in our nation’s history.

    – Great variety of historical figures.

    – Good variety of contributing scholars on the various personalities and methods.

    – Good insights: successes, failures, etc.

    – Book is easy to read and follow.

    – Good usage of footnotes.

    – Good biographical background of people covered.

Excellent read for anyone wanting to learn more about the important personalities and different evangelistic methods used over the years. Highly recommended. I was given a review copy by Kregel Academic in exchange for a fair review and appreciate the opportunity.
