As a lifelong conservative Southern Baptist, “Make Disciples Of All Nations” was a natural for me read and enjoyed the book. Around 400 pages, many topics are covered, including:

    – Events leading up to the formation of the Southern Baptist Convention.

    – Why the Southern Baptist Convention was formed.

    – Changes that happened during the various administrations leading the mission board over the years.

    – Background information on the various leaders of the mission board.

    – Conclusions about the leadership of the various administrators.

After reading the book, here’s what I liked about the title:

    – Various authors contributing to the title (get a variety of perspectives).

    – Appreciate the book’s honesty in describing slavery as the main reason why the Southern Baptist Convention was formed.

    – Book was easy to read and understand.

    – Like the fair treatment of the leaders (good, bad, etc.).

    – Description of the changes of the International Mission Board over the years.

If you want to learn more about the history of the Southern Baptist Convention International Mission Board, then this is the title. Recommended and will read again. I was given a review copy by Kregel Academic in exchange for a fair review and appreciate the opportunity.
