Now this group makes the very point I was making about enemies. The fact of whether they hate me or the idea of me, is a division without a meaning as far as I am concerned. Either way if given enough power, they will work for my lost of equality in the world. I prefer to cut to the chase and claim them as enemies that i must fight, because fight them as much to the extent that they have the ears of those in power.

I can afford to ignore the KKK or the Nazi’s as long as they are a group with no ability to harm me or other around me, but I accept the moral obligation of working for their power to be lessen such that they can do me or others around me no harm. That I just don’t bother to define why they are against me, they just are, and I acknowledge that reality.

of course….however I will never consider them my “friends”. I am fine with them just fading out of my life so that I hopefully never lay eyes on them ever again. I refuse to let such people into my surroundings. Won’t do it.

You are friend to handle it however you want but I don’t let those who work against me, in.

I wish I could unilaterally agree with this, but in fact I can not. Not because I think liberals are violent or nasty because I don’t. However, I do believe that there are enemies out there, and they are human beings so, in my opinion, it is missing a piece of reality to say “there are no enemies”.

1. White Supremacists ARE in fact the enemy of the Black Population

2. anti-LGBTQ who will go to any possible extent to deny my rights as an equal citizen because I am a gay man…is my enemy.

3. Anybody who would stand by and watch a cop kill a human being and not say or do anything as another part of law enforcement is an enemy of the person killed.

4. A childish man in the White House who can only come up with using the violence of the military on protestors is an enemy of both free speech and the people (you don’t send the army after protestors in America at all, and you sent law enforcement after rioters and those who destroy property.)

I believe all people being allowed to live their lives as they see fit, would result in your position being valid and correct. However, whenever someone tries to force me to live they do in order to have rights in this nation…they are enemies of my friendship and I will so react to them. With as little rudeness as possible but I will stand opposed even if it appears adversarary.

Apparently, they believe in the zero-sum game….where if anybody gets equality…say a Black, an LGBQT person, a Hispanic or a follower of Islam, it somehow takes away from their bag of jellybeans. I like jellybeans, and want everybody else to be able to have them also…after all, they are a product that can be made in abundance.

Metaphorically money and the good things in life are jelly beans, and everybody having some means that so many of society’s problems are lessened or done away with.

I guess we are all terrorist 😉

Wow, 13-14 years ago? You’ve been blogging that long? I didn’t even know about blogs that long ago. I was still in local community AOL chat rooms at that time. Never even heard the term blogging until about 8 years ago. I’m 64yo but still an internet novice even though I’ve been online since ’96.

All that, both the attacks on Obama, saying he wasn’t born in America etc.. And the republicans joined to to decry him for wearing a tan suit, for heavens sakes, and claimed he was Muslim, as though that was the worst thing in the world. Then trump turns around and cries like a baby if anybody doesn’t agree with everything he says.

And now he is supporting and retweeiting some bigot’s statement that “the only good democrat is a dead democrat”. I haven’t heard that type garbage in my lifetime and in history only when it was mentioning the Native Americans, Oh but to give the “cowboy” who originated that piece of bilge, he did say he meant politically, You see according to him the democrats are destroying America,

Right, the man in the White House is the one trying to turn us into a dictatorship with his fragile ego in charge of the country and the nuclear codes. I used to keep thinking that he might eventually reach the bottom of the nastiness he would be willing to ditch out, but he proved me wrong on that.

And the “evangelical christians” are complicit with his whole destruction of what made America great in the first place. If we don’t manage to get that madman out of office, we are cooked as a country. This last week has just proven that even more for me with racist cops still getting away with killing Black Men for no good reason,,,,,but standing on their necks of all things…and with many many witnesses watching the brutality.

Nobody, you are presenting it more correctly than many others. First they tried to say it was “suppression of free speech” which it is certainly not. Nobody stopped him from issuing the statements and using a privately owned and run company, Twitter, to do so. And they didn’t actually even fact check him. That would have been to say “this is not true, all evidence supports the fact that mail-in facts are as secure as any other”.

What they actually did was say, you might wanna go look into the facts yourselves. Something that all of us who have watched trump lie, then lie again, and then lie about lying know to do anyway.

I see where Gab has made a bet to get his business, interestingly enough asking their customers to use twitter to do so. Which tells me that Gab is in fact not a trustworthy or nonpartisan organization. However, do they even have a twitter like platform. I thought they were like thoughts or that other blog site you and I were at.

So, we are learning about the reach of Gab or it is another one of the cesspools of trumpism that has done so much damage to the decency and trustworthiness of this nation over the last 3 plus years,

No, conservatives are not silenced. What some folks do is silence them on their particular blogs and facebook postings and particularly in groups. Yet, a pretty liberal group is often over-run by people of the trump mentality invading and insisting on pushing their agenda.

To prove your point even more, one of trump’s most recent rampages is about Twitter deciding to factcheck his lies by merely suggesting as an addendum that people look into the evidence for that particular claim which was about how mail-in voting always results in illegal voting. None of the evidence supports such a claim but for simply suggesting that people check the data with unbiased facts, he has accused twitter of “stopping free speech”.

First of all, they didn’t stop him from saying it, second they didn’t even say it was a lie (although the evidence is certainly there that it is NOT true, and 3. they are a private company not a government entity so freedom of speech doesn’t apply in the first place.

But then trump seems unaware of most of the Constitution and what it is about.

“Freedom” is never without limits and when people yell “freedom” as their excuse for endangering other people’s lives, it is almost unforgivable. What it is without question is SELFISH.

A bunch of Typhoid Mary’s running around carrying the virus to others because they need a hair cut or some other insignificant thing. People yell free speech too, yet if they scream fire in a crowded theater, they are likely to go to jail as a result. That is called “causing a panic” and rightly is seen as wrong.

Yet some still want to “be free” to do anything they want. Funnily enough, however, they are often the very ones that object to how someone else lives their life.
