Hi everyone,
I’m considering purchasing the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 16-inch for my graphic design and video editing tasks, and I wanted to get some insights from others who may have used this laptop. The configuration I’m looking at comes with the R7 processor, 32GB of RAM, and RTX 4050 GPU.
On paper, the IdeaPad Pro 5 16 inch R7 32 GB RTX 4050 seems like a powerful machine, but I’m curious about how it performs in real-world scenarios. My work primarily involves editing high-resolution images in Photoshop, creating graphics in Illustrator, and occasionally working on 4K video projects in Premiere Pro.
Some specific questions I have:
How is the display quality for color-sensitive tasks? Does it have good color accuracy and brightness?
Can the RTX 4050 handle rendering and playback of 4K video without any lag?
Is the cooling system sufficient to keep the laptop from overheating during extended editing sessions?
What about battery life? Can it handle a full day of work on the go, or does it drain quickly under heavy loads?
If anyone has experience with this laptop or similar configurations, I’d really appreciate your feedback. I’m also open to other suggestions if there’s a better option for graphic design and video editing in this price range.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
