Very true, sadly not everyone has such an open mind.
April 05, 2013Haha she definitely reminds me of myself as a little girl. I would not wear pink and I refused to wear dresses unless it was my choice and it was usually when it was my birthday. As a 16 year old all I wore was black so I completely understand her. And I am glad the world has some diversity. It would be dreadful if everyone had to wear dresses with blossoms and suits all the time. The world needs more variety in it. Maybe it would reduce so much discrimination.
April 05, 2013I’m glad to hear your family is proud of who they are. And how dare those people put so many restrictions on her clothing. Who died and made them God? They can’t judge and they need to respect that the world is not full of people who are identical to them. There are people out there who want to be who they are and that’s it. I applaud your family for sticking to their beliefs and being proud of who they are. I can relate a lot to your daughter. Even though I am not bi, I do not fit into the feminine category. I love who I am and I refuse to wear things like pretty pink dresses just to make other people happy. I am who I am and I plan on sticking to it. Tell your family I admire them a lot, as well as yourself.
April 05, 2013I admire you! Don’t ever let other people influence your decisions. And keep waiting for the right person, the wait will be worth it. I regret not waiting because just like you i had made a promise to myself to wait until i got married or found that one special person. Don’t get me wrong it was a special person but no fairytale.
March 20, 2013I had the same problem and it’s really hard but sometimes you just have to choose one or the other. Having him as a friend could cause you unneccessary problems in your relationship as well as his. I had to choose between my ex/bestfriend and my boyfriend. I chose my boyfriend and honestly we have never been happier. I have to admit that i do miss my friend alot but i don’t miss the problems with my boyfriend. Just think about it. Either decide or talk to your boyfriend about your friendship with your friend and how you feel about the situation. You also have to ask your friend to talk to his girlfriend. If you guys cant do either than honestly problems are going to be inevitable. If you and your ex still have feelings for each other than just leave your current bf/gf because the longer you wait to leave them the more they are going to hurt if you do leave them.
P.S.: It’s simply advice, you really don’t have to take it. Hope everything works out for you.
