I was born in Belfast in the British part of Ireland.I had a good education and graduated in Pure Mathematics from the Queen's University of Belfast in 1968 with an honours B.A.The following year I took an M.Sc. in Statistics at University College London,England.
My interests are mathematics of course,1950s rock and roll and having as much good,harmless fun as possible.Although I was never religious I accept the story of creation as the omly realistic explanation of the universe and life on Earth.
