About me? As you may surmise from my username I live in the southern united states. I am proud of that heritage and my username was derived from an old southern saying, " Southern by the grace of god". Now that is not to say that I disrespect other heritages, cultures and regions. Far from it. I beleive in and respect diversity as a plan of nature.
As for interaction, I believe that argument is a seperate act from debate. Respectful debate is healthy and a learning tool. Argument for the sake of arguing is inefficient and not worth my time. Politics, religion and sexual preferences are a matter of preference and opinion, yours and mine. It is ok if we don't agree. I won't berate your opinions or beliefs, it is not worth my energy. I have come to a point in my life where I don't tolerate emotional drama really well. I don't believe in powder puffing an issue to make it easier. It is what it is. The only choice is to accept if for what it is and deal with it accordingly.
Lastly, I have come to appreciate the simplicity of life. Family, true friends, the beauty and order of the natural world and the presence of a higher power.
Sad and gruesome story to read. I wonder how a heart can grow so dark and a conscience so inhumane.
January 29, 2013Thank you for thinking about me! I have been blogging on another site more suitable for me in this cycle of my thoughts but I still sign onto this one several times during the week to keep up with friends blogs. I wish you many blessings and hope this new year will bring you much peace, joy and comfort…. and also for those you love.
December 24, 2012I read a book once on dream interpretation. The house represents a sense of self. Death indicates change, for example, if I dream of someone dying my subconscious is expressing a realization that something in my relationship with this person has changed or ended. (or so I recall the book explaining it that way).
December 19, 2012I was referring to theories on VMAT2 dubbed the god gene. Buddism, Animism, Pantheism are examples of non-diety spiritual facets. I even know some atheists who have also referred to themselves as pantheists or animists while others reject anything of supernatural origins including intuitions, premonitions, instinct etc.
December 15, 2012Thanks for sharing your point of view with me.
I agree with everything that you have said. I was curious for your thoughts outside of a religion/dogma perspective. Not all spiritual inclinations are wrapped up inside religions and doctrines.
December 14, 2012Codyjean commented “written into every cell” which is similar to the speculation with the discovery of the god gene which may indicate that people who possess this gene are more inclined to be spiritual than those who do not.
